Hi Everyone

This is the first of my reports from around the country from our Marukyu Field Testers and Marukyu Pro Team.
With feed back from scores of angles this is just an overview of what is happening out there. The results are incredible and far too many to list.
In the midlands a couple of methods have been dominating the match results.
Fishing banded 8 m/m protein pellets and feeding 6m/ms has resulted in some fantastic results either on the pole or straight lead.
Leicester Pro team member John Hall has won several events and sections with weights over 100lbs in these last few weeks.
Krilled maggots have again dominated many events all over the country our Northern squad, which includes Jay Declout, and Andy Kinder have been having outstanding results.
In the Midlands on several venues this has proved to be a devastating method.
Check out the media report on this site Angling Times October 10.
If you have not tried krilled maggots you are missing out. Krill turns a maggot into winning bait.
Equally devastating fishing in an open end feeder and this will get even better as it gets colder.
Further south local Hertfordshire Marukyu Field Tester team member Ben Emery has had some outstanding results again on Krilled maggot and EFG 131.
By using dead krilled maggots you can feed a lot more in with your cold water special EFG 131.

Top tips
The water is rapidly turning colder and in many venues pole fishing will become less effective.
Feed dead krilled maggots in a tiny cage feeder plugged with EFG 131 fish 3 or 4 dead krilled maggots on a 16 hook on a 20 inch tail. Sometimes the very short hook length is less effective as it gets colder.
